The Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial on the edge ofthe Tidal Basin is beautifuly carved by Lei Yixin. One cannot help be moved by the stoic and gentle visage of Dr. King in the granite Stone of Hope. The sculpture is powerful in its peacefulness. The first rays of the sun rose over the basin and lit his face and left everything else fade into the background.
